so, i'm on a diet. and my dog just crawled on top of the couch to put a bone on my head and chew it. but that's beside the point.
i hate being "on a diet." hate it. HATE IT. but...i'm way past the point where it's necessary. i have a wedding in a year, and i will NOT be so big that i can't even find a proper dress.
oh yeah, by the way- dustin and i are engaged. :)
anyway.
i'm craving brownie mix.
and i'm fragile.
i don't know who to vent to, who to talk to. i feel like i've failed at something if i complain about living down here. like i'm such a failure that everyone's just expecting me to muck it all up already. it's so horrible. there's no one unbiased. i don't want to let anyone down, and i feel like i already have. i'm fully set on surviving here, but i honestly just don't know if i can make it.
though, on a completely different note, i'm really starting to like victoria beckham. i feel like i should hate her, as she's kind of like the new paris, except she's older, stable, has a wicked accent and is slightly more intelligent. but i don't hate it. i find her incrediably amusing.
i'm having a crazy hard time assimilating down here. like, to the point where i want to move back home. badly. BADLY. i just...miss the north!!! and now i think we have to get rid of our dog, emma. i'm just devastated. she's my babygirl!! but she and dustin hate each other. she's bitten him, and tried to bite him a few times. i just don't know how to stop her! it's to the point where he's saying we NEED to get rid of her if we can't figure out how to train her to not bite him. i try telling him things to do and not do, but he either ignores me or SHE ignore me or or or i don't know. i just don't know what i'll do if we get rid of her. i mean, i've already left my family, i don't have any friends, no job, i barely leave the house- and now i have to get rid of my dog!
and to top it all off, some old lady on Victoria Beckham Comes To America just made a dolphin call.
i just don't know what to do.
sigh.
oh, and i have to lose 60 pounds by next summer.

it's been eons since i've actually posted on here. i mean, seriously. EONS.
but my interest and live journal-love was renewed when, while listening to an "i'm emo" mocking song, i heard live journal mentioned and decided to treat dustin to the Reading of Old Entries.
and then decided to post.
who actually reads these things anymore? (or, who actually WRITES in these things anymore?) i'm not sure, but i want to start it up again. fuck sexy- i'm bringing LJ back!
(that was lame. i apologize.)
anyway...as with all my old postings, this one is a product of "too much to do and not enough motivation to do it, so i might as well blog." i'm leaving monday for aurora and still have to pack, which, considering the state of disarray the apartment is in currently, is a dauntingly large undertaking that i've yet to actually, well...start. i just don't wannaaaaa! i have to sort through Mount Ashley (dustin named my clothes pile on the floor) for appropriate winter-wear, seeing as how it's been 70 and sunny here and i've been told by my family that tank tops and flip flops don't work in the snow. then i have to do the laundry (or, enough so that i have at LEAST a clean travel outfit. which, at this point...i don't). then i have to pack said laundry. then get together my toiletries. then pack my makeup. then search out receipts and w2s and bring those for my mom for taxes. then, then, then...i don't know.
but i don't wanna do it.
and i still have to shower.
which is a rather rare occurance for me, judging by previous entries from up to to years ago.
i'm sorry for being greasy.
really.
anyway...it's, like, 5 in the afternoon and i haven't actually ventured further from the bed than the bathroom yet today (i love lazy days), so i should probably get up and...and...i don't know. do something.

yes. i am doing so now. and i always thought i'd hate the whole 24/7 with someone, but i couldn't be more wrong. i love it. i have the PERFECT man. EVER.

FRAGGLE ROCK. alice in wonderland. and that david the gnome show. i also liked ally mcbeal and buffy the vampire slayer. but that was when i was older and thought about kissing boys.

when i was little, i liked stuff like Creedence and Aerosmith and Raffi. as i got older, though, it was alt-grunge all the way. long live flannel and birkenstocks, baby!

sure.

yes. well...no. not "stupid." i think it's naive, and a little foolish.

i got flowers before going out to dinner last night, a candle on a cupcake at midnight, tiffany earrings when i woke up, breakfast in bed...then were picking up lunch, going to a playground with emma and i get dinner made for me tonight!
i am very, very spoiled.
i love this man.
